Agreement to Terms
By initiating service with Northwest Pet Waste Removal, you acknowledge and agree to the following Terms of Service.
Property Entry Authorization
By enrolling in service, the customer grants Northwest Pet Waste Removal permission to enter the property for the purpose of performing scheduled services.
Customers are responsible for ensuring the service areas are accessible and safe at the time of each visit.
Access to Your Yard
Please ensure our team has safe, unobstructed access to the areas we service. Customers are responsible for securing pets prior to scheduled service visits. We cannot enter yards with dogs present.
If a gate is locked, a pet is present in the yard, or access to the service area is otherwise blocked or unsafe, we will attempt to reach you and wait up to five minutes. If we are unable to access the yard, the visit will be billed.
Unkept or Difficult Yards
We service a wide range of yard conditions, but excessively overgrown grass, debris, clutter, standing water, or other hazards can make a cleanup unsafe or impractical.
In these situations, we may adjust the rate to reflect the additional time required or decline the visit entirely. If a yard is consistently unsafe or inaccessible, service may be suspended or canceled.
Dog Count and Yard Usage
Service rates are based on the number of dogs regularly using the yard.
Customers must notify Northwest Pet Waste Removal if the number of dogs changes or if additional dogs will be using the yard for an extended period of time. This includes visiting, foster, or temporary dogs.
If additional dogs are present without notice, service rates may be adjusted to reflect the increased waste volume.
Scheduling and Arrival Windows
While we do our best to be accommodating of customer preferences, Northwest Pet Waste Removal plans service routes to optimize efficiency, minimize travel time between stops, and maintain consistent service quality. Because of this, we cannot guarantee a specific day of the week or time of day for service.
Service may occur on any day within your scheduled service window, and arrival times may vary from visit to visit. Our normal operating hours range from 7:00 AM PST to 8:00 PM PST.
By enrolling in service, you acknowledge and accept that service days and arrival windows may change periodically due to route optimization, operational needs, weather, holidays, traffic conditions, staffing, or other unforeseen circumstances.
Missed Visits
A visit is considered missed when our team arrives but cannot safely access the service area due to locked gates, pets present in the yard, blocked entry points, or other access issues outside of our control.
Missed visits are billed as scheduled. Waste that accumulates during missed visits will be addressed during the next successful service visit.
Repeated missed visits may result in service suspension or cancellation.
Safety and Weather
We work through normal weather conditions, but severe or unsafe weather may delay or prevent service.
If a visit cannot be completed due to weather or unsafe conditions, the visit will still be billed as scheduled. The following service will include the additional waste that accumulated during that period unless the yard has been cleared beforehand.
Monthly Subscription and Billing Cycle
Northwest Pet Waste Removal operates on a month-to-month subscription basis. By enrolling in service, customers agree to recurring monthly billing for ongoing services.
Monthly service fees reserve a recurring service slot on our route and cover scheduled visits within each billing period. Charges are not based on individual visits completed, but on maintaining consistent, ongoing service.
Billing cycles run on a monthly basis, and services renew automatically unless canceled in accordance with these Terms.
Refund Policy
Due to the nature of recurring route-based service, payments are non-refundable once a billing cycle has begun.
Refunds or credits are not issued for missed visits, holidays, weather delays, access issues, or unused service within an active billing period.
Customers may avoid future charges by submitting a pause or cancellation request in advance of the next billing cycle. Approved service pauses will be handled in accordance with the Service Holds and Pauses section.
Service Holds and Pauses
If your pets will not be using the yard for a period of time and you want to avoid unnecessary visits, please notify us in advance and we will pause your service.
• Twice-weekly service customers may pause service for up to two consecutive weeks (four scheduled visits) without penalty.
• Weekly service customers may pause service for up to two consecutive weeks (two scheduled visits) without penalty.
• Biweekly service customers may pause service for one scheduled visit without penalty.
If service is paused beyond the limits above, the next visit will be treated as an initial cleanup and billed accordingly due to increased waste accumulation.
Multiple pauses within a short period may be treated as an extended service interruption and may require an initial cleanup upon resuming service.
All pause requests must be submitted in advance. Service resumes automatically at the end of the approved pause period unless otherwise requested in writing.
Holidays and Scheduled Closures
Northwest Pet Waste Removal observes the following holidays and may not operate on these days:
• New Year’s Day
• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving Day
• Day After Thanksgiving (Black Friday)
• Christmas Eve
• Christmas Day
In addition, we may take up to two weeks off during the Christmas and New Year holiday period for scheduled closure.
If a service visit falls on a holiday or during a scheduled closure, the visit may be skipped or rescheduled at our discretion. Missed visits due to holidays or scheduled closures will not be refunded or credited, and any accumulated waste will be addressed during the next scheduled service visit.
Customers will be notified in advance of extended holiday closures.
Waste Handling
All waste is double-bagged and placed in your trash can. At this time, we do not haul waste off-site.
Water Access
Northwest Pet Waste Removal may occasionally use an outdoor water spigot and hose located on the property for purposes related to providing service, including but not limited to rinsing tools, equipment, or service areas when necessary. By enrolling in service, the customer grants permission for reasonable use of an exterior water source during service visits. Northwest Pet Waste Removal will use water responsibly and only when necessary for service operations.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that outdoor water connections and hoses are in safe working condition. Northwest Pet Waste Removal is not responsible for damage resulting from pre-existing hose, spigot, or plumbing issues.
Equipment Sanitation
All tools and equipment are sanitized with kennel-grade cleaner between every yard.
Service Verification and Photos
For quality control, documentation, and service verification, our technicians may take photos of the yard, gate, or service area during or after a visit. These images are used internally to confirm service completion, document yard conditions, or address customer questions regarding service.
Photos may also be used for marketing, promotional, or educational purposes, including but not limited to before-and-after photos of service areas. By enrolling in service, you grant Northwest Pet Waste Removal permission to use such images in advertising, social media, website content, and other promotional materials. Reasonable care will be taken to avoid including personally identifiable information such as home addresses, house numbers, or identifiable individuals.
Billing and Payments
Your first month and initial cleanup are billed upfront. Your first month is prorated based on your start date.
Ongoing invoices are issued on the first of each month and must be paid according to the terms listed on the invoice.
If service is canceled after the first visit is completed, the initial visit will be reclassified and invoiced as a one-time cleanup rather than an initial cleanup associated with ongoing service. Any price difference will be reflected on the final invoice.
Accounts with overdue balances may have service paused until the outstanding balance is paid in full. Northwest Pet Waste Removal reserves the right to suspend or cancel service for nonpayment.
Service Changes and Fees
Service rates and promotions may change. If an adjustment is necessary, customers will receive at least two weeks’ notice before changes take effect.
Canceling Service
There are no contracts or long-term commitments. Customers may pause or cancel service at any time. We ask that cancellations be submitted in writing. Any remaining balance must be paid within 15 days.
Same-Day Cancellations
Because service routes are scheduled in advance, cancellation or service change requests submitted on the day of scheduled service may not be accommodated. If a cancellation request is received after the route has been finalized or a technician has been dispatched, the visit will be billed as scheduled.
Right to Refuse or Cancel Service
Northwest Pet Waste Removal reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate service at any time and for any reason. This includes, but is not limited to:
• Unsafe conditions
• Repeated access issues
• Aggressive animals
• Unpaid balances
• Ongoing conditions that prevent us from providing reliable service
Liability
While we take care on every visit, Northwest Pet Waste Removal is not liable for damage to yards, landscaping, gates, pets, or other property resulting from normal service activities or pre-existing yard conditions.
Customers are responsible for maintaining a reasonably clear service area. Northwest Pet Waste Removal is not responsible for damage to hidden or obscured objects in the yard, including but not limited to sprinkler heads, irrigation lines, invisible fences, toys, yard décor, or other items concealed by grass, landscaping, or debris.
Gate Security and Escaped Pets
Our technicians make reasonable efforts to close and secure gates upon entering and leaving the property. However, customers are responsible for ensuring that gates, fences, and latches are functional and capable of securely containing pets.
Northwest Pet Waste Removal is not responsible for escaped pets resulting from faulty, unsecured, or improperly functioning gates or fencing.
Service Area
Service availability is limited to areas within our current operating region. Northwest Pet Waste Removal reserves the right to decline, suspend, or discontinue service if a location falls outside our active service routes.
Governing Law
These terms and any services provided by Northwest Pet Waste Removal are governed by the laws of the State of Washington.
Changes to Terms
Northwest Pet Waste Removal reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. Customers will be notified of material changes prior to them taking effect.
